Gerard Cushing applies more than 30 years of experience as a trial attorney to defend healthcare professionals in medical malpractice litigation.
As one of the firm’s senior trial attorneys, Gerard is sought out for his well-honed foresight: He excels at evaluating cases, anticipating plaintiff maneuvers, and developing strategies to minimize risk and resolve cases in the most judicious means possible.
Often handling cases that address sensitive situations, Gerard understands how to effectively communicate arguments based on facts and interpret complex medical issues in trial.
Gerard is practiced in handling high-pressure cases. He spent a decade as a criminal prosecutor, working for the New York State Attorney General and serving as an Assistant District Attorney for the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office.
