Looking Back, Moving Forward
Shaub, Ahmuty, Citrin & Spratt LLP traces its origins to Bower & Gardner, a law firm described by The New York Times as "the premier New York City law firm in the medical malpractice specialty ... widely known and highly regarded."
Our firm's four founders, Henry Shaub, Steven Ahmuty, Jr., Marc Citrin, and Bill Spratt all were partners at Bower & Gardner when they decided to join forces to create their own firm.
Together, these four partners set out to build a business that would incorporate what they saw as the best aspects of their legacy firm: aggressive defense, unparalleled client service and a thorough, supportive approach to lawyer mentoring. They purposefully committed to creating a supportive and intellectually stimulating environment.
This approach attracted the attention of both clients and legal talent. Over the next 25 years, the firm achieved a multitude of landmark litigation victories and grew to encompass more than 50 lawyers in three locations.
As we approach our fourth decade in business, our commitment to our clients and colleagues remains an unwavering constant. We will continue to evolve our approach, embracing new technology and staffing models that empower work-life balance, creative solutions, and exceptional outcomes.
