In December 2018 Henry Shaub obtained a defense verdict in New York County in a case in which the plaintiff claimed the failure to administer appropriate preoperative antibiotics to a 7-year-old with a history of mitral valve replacement permitted the development of bacterial endocarditis and death approximately one month later.
