Overview
As managing partner of the firm, Laura is the first point of contact for many clients. For every medical malpractice matter, she initiates communication among all defendants, assembles the team and serves as a client advocate from intake through resolution.
Laura brings practical knowledge of medicine to her legal practice. Before attending law school, she worked as a registered nurse in a neonatal intensive care unit. Clients benefit from her familiarity with the science of medicine, her understanding of health care operations and her empathy with health care providers.
Laura applies her medical background, organizational skills and three decades of experience to defend the most complex medical malpractice lawsuits. She is adept at handling complicated claims and resolving cases efficiently, often before settlement or trial.
Laura has been recognized by her alma mater, Hofstra University School of Law, as an “Outstanding Woman in Law,” and by Long Island Pulse Magazine as a “Legal Eagle.” She has been recognized by Thomson Reuters, Super Lawyers®, New York Metro from 2019-2022.
Laura is a member of the Association for Healthcare Risk Management of New York and the New York State Bar Association.
