During her law school tenure, Cassidy honed her litigation skills in Moot Court, laying a strong foundation for her legal career. She began as a prosecutor at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, where she sought justice for victims, starting with misdemeanor cases and rapidly advancing to Senior Assistant District Attorney. As a Brooklyn prosecutor, Cassidy managed hundreds of serious violent felony cases, often leading high-profile cases that captured local media attention. She coordinated intricate long-term criminal investigations, presented numerous cases before the Grand Jury, and skillfully conducted various court proceedings across all phases of misdemeanor and felony cases. Cassidy's trial experience includes several cases brought to verdict in New York State Supreme Court and numerous pre-trial suppression hearings involving significant legal issues.
Now at SACS, Cassidy leverages her extensive prosecutorial background to expand her litigation practice in the civil domain, bringing a unique perspective to the defense of medical malpractice claims.
