Nicole Heckman Receives Stipulation of Discontinuance for our Defendant Surgeon

In September 2019 Nicole Heckman obtained a stipulation of discontinuance for our defendant CTS surgeon following submission of a motion for summary judgment on his behalf. The case involved allegations of negligence in the performance of a Type A aortic dissection by a failure to concomitantly replace the aortic root, allegedly causing the need for revision surgery one year later, which had catastrophic complications resulting in death.  Plaintiff could not defeat the opinion of the defendant’s accomplished expert in CTS surgery that the procedure was performed in an exemplary fashion, and did not cause the damages alleged, thus the execution of the stipulation of discontinuance.
