Jason Corrado Obtains Defense Verdict In Nassau County Following Testimony of Nine Different Experts

In March 2019 Jason Corrado obtained a defense verdict in Nassau County on behalf of our defendant anesthesiologist, after a trial of just under one month, in which nine separate experts testified. The then 53-year-old plaintiff alleged he suffered sciatic neuropathy and permanent neurological deficits as a result of alleged negligent positioning during a 12-hour surgery. The jury ultimately agreed all that could have been done to protect the plaintiff’s pressure points was done, and positioning was a surgical determination to optimize access and visualization. While a complication did occur this was not evidence of malpractice, thus the jury returned with a unanimous verdict on behalf of our defendant anesthesiologist.
