Erin Stalzer achieves another Summary Judgment victory!
Erin Stalzer obtained summary judgment dismissal on behalf of all three of her neurosurgical clients who purportedly failed to timely and properly manage and treat the 23 year old plaintiff's arteriovenous malformation (AVM) and posterior inferior cerebellar artery (PICA) aneurysm. The plaintiff's pre-motion demand exceeded $60,000,000.00. With the greatly appreciated support of her neurosurgical expert Erin successfully established that her clients timely and properly treated the plaintiff throughout, including when proceeding with the intended AVM/PICA resection surgery after the plaintiff suffered an unforeseeable and life threatening AVM rupture in the immediate pre-incision period, and when heroically performing an unconventional, sophisticated and high risk tentorium cutting surgery that successfully prevented upward herniation and almost certain death. Having considered all of the parties' submissions the Court graciously agreed that our clients were deserving of a grant of dismissal with prejudice, as a matter of law. Please join us in congratulating Erin and her clients on their success.
